Securty forces have waged a campaign of arbitrary arrests since last night and continuing into today, among those detainees who are known: Ahmed Mostafa Saqer, Hasan Hussein Saqer, Deeb Saqer, sultan Ahmed Sayid. Families also woke up this morning to find the Baath Party branch building burned.

Hama
Qaleet Mudeeq
Security forces and armed gangs (shabeeha) stormed the town this morning, launching a campaign of raids and inspections of schools with sporadic shooting to terrorize the people. Powerful explosions were heard in the region of Harash, a region which residents of Mudeeq usually flee to when their town is being stormed.

Banyas
Security forces and shabiha are firing in the air at Center Square and conducting an arrest campaign in an attempt to disperse demonstrators. Among those arrested is Abdallah Barbas.

Salmiyeh
Students from the all-girls’ Zainab High School demonstrated in the city yesterday and today to condemn Firas Istanbuli’s firing a day earlier for expressing his opinion on the events that occurred at a different branch of the school.
A demonstration started in Jouret Al-Hurriyeh; participants changed for the toppling of the regime and were dispersed by force by security forces and the shabiha. Thaer Nasra was arrested after he was savagely beaten.

Very heavy gunfire from various types of weapons, heavy and medium, by security forces and Assad military in the direction of civilian homes and sounds of large explosions.

Storming of several neighbourhoods in the area by security and military forces which burnt down several houses.

Yesterday afternoon, security forces and shabiha kidnapped Mrs Sanaa Al-Masri (24 year-old, married and mother of 3 children) on her way from her house to the post office. Her whereabouts is still unknown

The home of the activist Ahmed Ayed Alyateem was raided yesterday, Wednesday. His younger brother, Tarek (20 years old), was arrested and taken hostage in his place when they did not find him at home, with the knowledge that Tarek is suffering from a poor state of health and has difficulty speaking. Many other activists’ homes were raided, their belongings were destroyed and their families were threatened

Security forces arrested Dr. Mohammad Fares Zaooqi at his clinic adter they sabotaged and destroyed equipments. They also arrested the pharmacist Mohammad Awdat after his destroying his pharmacy as well.
