Local Coordination Committees in Syria
Given the insistence of the brutal regime, which has lost all legitimacy, to continue its policy of murder, torture, and lies, we can only insist on maintaining those premises and principles that formed the basis of our Revolution: to escalate our peaceful resistance to this brutal regime until it is toppled, and build our democratic free country.

In response to the calls for a strike issued and led by the free people of Daraa in the past, and again now, the Local Coordination Committees will join the call and invite all free people to join the general strike across all of Syria on Thursday, December 1, 2011.

In participating in a unified strike, Syrians from all walks of life will share in furthering Syria’s glorious Revolution and ensuring that we remain a people undivided in our mutual aspirations and our shared pain.

We – students, bureacrats, and other workers – will remain in our homes on Thursday, December 1, 2011, to honor the martyrs of freedom.

May our Revolution be victorious, and may our innocent martyrs rest in peace.
