At the break of dawn, the city witnessed some of the most violent clashes between the Free Syrian Army and the regime’ soldiers. Eighteen soldiers, from West Beldeh, defected and joined the clashes which led to dozens of injuries and deaths. Several ambulances, filled with the regime’s wounded, entered the city, forced out all of the patients inside the National Hospital, in Azraeh Village. In addition, security and Army personnel kidnapped two unknown defected and wounded soldiers from their beds. Army and security reinforcements arrived to the city, including tanks and armored vehicles, in conjunction with a complete power outage.
