Today Tuesday January 10th 2012, the shooting by the Syrian security forces at the peaceful protesters led to martyrdom of 16 and at least 60 wounded although the Arab League observers’ delegation were in the
city. This number exceeds the number of martyrs and wounded in the city’s invasion a couple of month ago without the existence of the Arab League observers.

However, once the delegation arrived, security members opened live fire at the protesters to prohibit them from getting to the observers. Then, there was shooting at the mourners who were bidding farewell to those who martyred in the main square.
Also, there was shooting in these areas: the Sheikh Yaseen, Hamedieh,Haraka, Jobela neighborhoods and the Nour Hospital area. Security forces besieged the Nour and Saee hospitals and the Blood Bank refused
to provide the hospitals with blood. Blood donation campaigns were immediately opened to save the wounded.

Al-Ghadeer Similar incidents happened in many places while the Arab League observers are there and led to increasing number of martyrs and wounded. It is worth mentioning that the number of martyrs since the
beginning of the Arab League observers delegation has reached to 620 including 38 children.
