Mohamad Ayman Dahdouh (Abou Said), a hero of the Revolution, was martyred today. He was nicknamed Qashoush of Harasta for his exceptional singing voice and abilty to lead chants during protests from the very start of the Revolution. He was martyred by security forces’ gunfire in a Damascus neighborhood. Security forces raided the safe house in the Qusour neighborhood that sheltered him and other activists: Hasan Hassoun, nicknamed “Dawa’i;” Yahya Al-Sheikh Saleh, nickanamed “Mahmoud;” the owner of the house, Hashem Al-Halabi; and Mr. Al-Halabi’s son. Eyewitnesses reported that two of the activists were taken out of the house on stretchers, while the others came out on their own feet and were subjected to severe beatings.
