Local Coordination Committees in Syria

The number of martyrs in Syria has risen to 111 so far, among them 25 bodies found in Barzeh and 12 unidentified bodies, which had been tortured and burned, in Mouadamyet Al-Sham. 50 martyrs were reported in Damascus and its Suburbs, 20 in Daraa, 14 in Aleppo, 7 in Homs, 7 in Deir Ezzor, 6 in Hama, 5 in Idlib, 1 in Latakia and 1 in Raqqa.

Damascus Suburbs: Zabadany: Gunfire from heavy weapons resumed from the northern checkpoint targeting houses and passers-by

Aleppo: Intense gunfire at a demonstration in New Shahbaa in Aleppo

Latakia: Gunfire from the regime’s army is reported in Suleibeh and Mashroo Suleibeh neighborhoods

Raqqa: Tabaqa: Sporadic gunfire is reported next to the Directorate of Thawra area.

Raqqa: Debsi Afnan: Regime’s forces opened fire to terrorize residents, it is reported that more than 300 regime’s army soldiers in full gear were deployed near the Province Directorate and Security
Centre

Latakia: Jableh: Warplanes can be seen in the sky above the coastal town of Jableh.

Damascus Suburbs: Zabadany: Renewed heavy shelling of the city is reported.

Homs: Qosair: Renewed indiscriminate artillery shelling with tanks on civilian homes is reported.

Al-Jazeera Area: The number famlies of refugees who fled Deir Ezzor and Homs reached 50,000 families who are living in difficult humanitarian conditions

Raqqa: Tabaqa: Heavy deployment of tanks and regime’s army agents are entering the city after many defections were reported there

Damascus Suburbs: Abaada: Several people were wounded due to the heavy artillery shelling of the town.

Damascus: Nahr Aisha: Columns of smoke are seen rising from the neighborhood and sounds of heavy can fire can be heard in the area

Daraa: Harra: Intermittent gunfire from the checkpoint in the northern direction of the city

Aleppo: Bab: A martyr and dozens of wounded fell, inculding a child, when shells landed on Al-Qably market

Daraa: Naeemah: Heavy shelling of the town is reported, it is accompanied by heavy gunfire and a spread of snipers.

Hama: Salamieh: Intermittent gunfire in Thahr Al-Maghr area and Mozera’a

Damascus: Daraya: 20 martyrs fell during clashes in the agricultural area of Daraya and Kafar Souseh

Aleppo: Aleppo Central Prison: Gunfire from helicopters and all kinds of weapons over Aleppo Central Prison started after demonstrations and disobedience by prisoners in the prison; breaking doors and attempting to exit

Raqqa: Demonstration started in Moataz street in solidarity with the disaster-stricken cities and demonstrators are demanding the toppling of the regime

Raqqa: 11 officers defected from the police and joined the Free Syrian Army

Damascus Suburbs: Mqailabieh: A defection was reported in the 75th Battalion of the Air Force Defenses in Mqailabieh, and the regime’s army is searching for the defectors using searchlights. There is shelling reported from inside the Air Force building, directed at Salah Al-Teir Mountain in the west

Damascus Suburbs: Zahoor District: Heavy armored vehicles, security forces, and regime shabiha stormed the neighborhood

Damascus:Qadam Neighborhood: Fierce clashes between the Free Syrian Army and regime’s army are taking place in the neighborhood using light and medium weapons

Daraa: Ibtaa: A mortar shell landed on the western part of the town, in Basateen.

Hama: Hawash: More than 23 wounded fell so far and more than 20 houses were destroyed due to fierce shelling using helicopters

Damascus Suburbs: Thyabiya: Regime’s forces stormed the city with tanks after shelling it with mortar and missiles from warplanes

Deir Ezzor: Mheimidah: Heavy shelling by regime’s army is reported in the city

Quneitra: Jabata Al-Kashab: Heavy clashes between the Free Syrian Army and the regime’s army are reported now.

Homs: Krak des Chevaliers: Heavy artillery shelling with shilka and heavy cannons is reported on Turkman neighborhood of the Qumeiri and Maseeda villages. Clashes between the Free Syrian Army and the regime’s army are renewed at the South gate

Daraa: Lajat: 8 were martyred and tens were wounded due to the indiscriminate arillery shelling of the area by rocket launchers

Ildib: Khan Sheikhoun: Several were wounded when the regime’s forces stormed the city with tanks and started firing heavily at passers-by and commerical stores
