Local Coordination Committees
Today, Thursday in Syria, the Local Coordination Committees have documented 116 martyrs, including 9 women and 7 children: 42 martyrs in Damascus and its suburbs, 20 martyrs in Aleppo, 17 martyrs in Homs during a raid on Qusair, 17 martyrs in Idlib, 8 martyrs in Dara’a, 5 martyrs in Lattakia, 4 martyrs in Hama, and 3 martyrs in Deir Ezzor

The Committees have documented a total of 244 points of shelling, 17 points were shelling by warplanes and helicopters, four areas were bombed with cluster bombs, three areas were bombed with thermobaric bombs, and one area was bombed with white phosphorous bombs. 114 points total were documented from artillery shelling, 68 points from mortar shelling, and 63 points of missile bombardments.
The Free Syrian Army clashed with regime forces in 127 points, bringing down a helicopter near the Neirib Airport in Aleppo. The Free Syrian Army also liberated the village of Shughir in Idlib, siezed the Roundabout Checkpoint in Busir Al-Harir in Dara’a, and siezed the checkpoint of Samir Ra’ad, which is compased of 5 fortified buildings in Qusair, Homs. The Free Syrian army additionally blew up a security building and a checkpoint belonging to regime forces in Sa’sa, Damascus Suburbs and bombed the Air Intelligence Branch and the checkpoint of Housh Mishmush in Housh Balas, Damascus Suburbs. The Free Syrian Army targeted a military convoy on the road of Busr Al-Harir in Dara’a, mortar shelled the headquarters for the regime’s armed thugs in Sayidet Zainab, Damascus Suburbs. Regime forces tried several times to sotrm the cities and towns of Eastern Ghouta and Busr Al-Harir, but the FSA destroyed several machinary and armoured vehicles belonging to regime forces in the cities and towns of Syria.

Hama: Heavy mortar shelling from the scientific research area targeting villages of Jenan, with shelling increasing on the village of Sheikh Abdullah, with the dropping of 10 mortars on Jenan village

Idlib: Sarmen: Missile shelling targets the city

Damascus Suburbs: Douma: Severe and indiscriminate shelling from rocket launchers and mortars targets the city

Damascus: Barzeh: Several mortar shells fall on orchards in Barzeh as heavy gunfire is heard from the direction of Tashreen area

Damascus suburbs: Sahnaya: Heavy gunfire with medium and light weapons on Sahnaya street near the Four Seasons checkpoint

Damascus Suburbs: Maqilbiyeh: A strong explosion from an unknown source shakes the town

Daraa: Yadouda: Gunfire from light and heavy machine guns was reported to intimidate the remaining residents in the town from Yadouda Checkpoint amid power outages

Raqqah: Heavy gunfire heard throughout the city

Hama: Kafrzeta: Renewed missile shelling of the city

Homs: Al-Farhanieh: Intense tank and mortar shelling of the town from the neighboring village of Jaborayn

Daraa: Basr Al-Harir: Heavy shelling using missiles, rocket launchers and artillery targeting many of the areas of the northern area

Daraa: Al-Hara: Shelling targetting the eastern side of the town
Damascus suburbs: Ain Turma: Heavy shelling from tanks and artillery stationed on the southern overpass target the town, especially the neighborhoods Shemy Land and Al-Jodud

Damascus: Barzeh: A carbomb was detonated near Hamesh hospital near the flower shop

Damascus suburbs: Sasa: The Free Syrian Army blew up the regime’s Political Security Branch and attacked a regime checkpoint and some regime forces were killed and wounded

Hama: Karnaz: Heavy shelling using rocket launchers target the town, with more than 50 shells having fallen as of now

Daraa: Lajat: Regime forces are shelling the towns and villages of Lajat using artillery shells from all the military units stationed in the area

Hama: Deir Ferdous: Regime forces are shelling the town, while clashing with the Free Syrian Army near Zara station

Damascus Suburbs: Zamalka: Regime forces are shelling a number of neighborhoods in the town, while clashing with the Free Syrian Army

Damascus Suburbs: Saida Zeinab: The Free Syrian Army targeted the shabiha headquarters using mortars. Reports of clashes and rising smoke in the area

Homs: Al-Quseir: The Free Syrian Army liberates Samir Al-Raed checkpoint which was composed of 5 fortified buildings with regime forces stationed inside

Homs: Krak des Chevaliers: Renewed mortar shelling by regime forces on the neighborhoods of Harat Turkmen and Haseen, as well as the burning of 4 homes

Idblib: Maarat Al Nouman: Renewed missile and artillery shelling on the city, especially the western and northern neighborhoods

Daraa: Nawa: Heavy clashes between the Free Syrian Army and regime forces stationed at the conscription division checkpoint, with artillery fire from several other checkpoints

Dara’a: Harat: Clashes between the Free Syrian Army and regime forces in the Zahra neighborhood, where the Air Force Intelligence headquarters are

Damascus: Yarmouk Camp: Heavy clashes between the Free Syrian Army and the regime forces after several explosions near the camp entrance

Damascus Suburbs: Beit Saham: Many injured civilians, including some in critical conditions, during severe shelling with mortars by regime forces in

Damascus Suburbs: Mdeirah: Intense shelling by the regime forces at the town. Two shells targeted the town mosque

Daraa: AL-Hara: Fierce shelling by the regime forces continues at the town targeting specifically southern parts of the town, accompanied with intermittent gunfire from regime checkpoints inside and outside the town

Daraa: Dael: Artillery shelling targeting the town have commenced

Daraa: Sahem: Shelling by mortars from regime forces’ Al-Bakkar Military Company situated west of town of Tseel

Homs: Loud explosions heard accross the city most likely coming from Jouret Al-Shayah and Karabees neighborhoods

Aleppo: Ma’arret Arteeq: regime forces are shelling the town with artillery

Idlib: Sermeen: shelling by missiles by regime forces was reported in town

Hama: Al-Zaka: Artillery shelling of the village from Deir Mahrda where regime forces are stationed

Daraa: The pace of the shelling on the city has increased,the explosions are shaking the town and gunfire is being shot from brigade 99 towards anyone moving.

Aleppo: Hayan: Shelling by rocket launchers on civilians homes have caused lots of damage on the homes

Damascus: Mezzah: A number of explosions from unknown sources were heard clearly in the area.

Daraa: Al-Naemeh: Regime forces storm the town using tanks and armored vehicles amid intensified shelling and gunfire of machine guns and heavy weapons from Al-Brins checkpoint and a curfew has been imposed on the town

Daraa: Sahm Al-Jolan: Intense artillery shelling targets the town and five shells have fallen within minutes from Al-Bakkar military platoon
