Local Coordinating Committees in Zabadani
The intense and barbaric shelling of the town of Zabadani continues for the sixth consecutive day. The number of martyrs and wounded has increased as well, and the humanitarian situation is disastrous.

The number of martyrs as of today, Thursday, is 10 and includes 5 members of the same family (Al-Awwad), martyred after their home was hit by an artillery shell. In another message from the demagogic regime to the innocent residents, the corpse of Mohammad Qwefaty, bearing clear signs of excruciating torture, was delivered to his family today. In addition, Mohammad Al-Dalaty was martyred, along with others whose names were impossible to obtain due to the intense shelling and the massive damages done to the martyrs’ corpses.

The number of injured today has reached more than 40 thus far, and the area suffers from a significant shortage of medical supplies and emergency tools. In addition, fuel and food supplies are rapidly dwindling. The town is completely sealed off: no one can enter without the risk of being killed by sniper fire or artillery shelling; this is preventing the remaining residents from fleeing to a safer place.

The Zabadani Coordinating Committee warns against the continuation of this situation while the world observes silently from the sidelines. The regime is conducting a massacre in the town.
