The great Syrian Revolution has passed its 100 day checkpoint, adding more and more heroic epics to the history of our brave Syrian people everyday. Many people thought that Daraa would fight for freedom on its own; however, the whole world witnessed how Homs, Hama, Idlib, Douma, Moadamyeh, Qaboun, Daraya, and many more of Syrian cities/towns rose up and followed Daraa and are now competing for which city is to show more restraint in the face of one of the most repressive, murderous and criminal regimes on earth today.
Syria has shown the world new forms of peaceful and democratic struggle. For example, chanting Allahu Akbar (God is Greatest) indoors is now considered a revolutionary act, for those who do it are being killed, detained, and tortured. Daraa, the courageous city that got besieged by security forces, was the first to offer this action; followed by besieged Jableh, Banyas and other cities whose residents had to pay for chanting Allahu Akbar (God is Greatest).
Media talked of 3 million Syrian civilians responding to the revolution call by protesting last Friday. Families and acquaintances were left behind as protestors were aware that bullets are the first thing to be faced with, let alone that such reaction caused many to lose their offices and jobs. Unlike pro-regime demonstrations, none participated unwillingly or by force.

In this regard, we call on all freedom seekers in the proud city of Qamishlu to go out in a candlight vigil on Monday 27th of June, starting from Hlalieh Taxi parking at 8:00 PM, to reaffirm our pledge to continue on the path of the Syrian Revolution martyrs.
Eternity to Syria
Glory to martyrs, detainees and wounded
