Your silence is killing us

Demonstrators are going out every Friday in increasing numbers chanting for the besieged cities of Homs, Dier Ezzor and Zabadany, and to tell the afraid and hesitant people that their silence is helping security forces in killing demonstrators, also to tell the international society and the Arab League to take a firm stance to force the regime to stop the violence against unarmed people and revoke legitimacy from the regime.

Largest demonstrations took place in Hama, Dier Ezzor, Maaret Al-Nouman and some cities in Damascus suburbs like Tal, Douma, Saqba and Daraya.
Residents of Homs, Zabadany and Jableh challenged the siege and gun fire and demonstrated against the regime.

In the city of Daraa and neighboring villages, the presence of security forces prevent large Demos to be held due to presence of barricades, but people there got out in sporadic small demonstrations.
Northern and Northeastern areas in Syria preceded other areas as usual with participation of Kurds, Arabs, and Assyrians, the demonstration in Qamishli was dispersed due to intentional sabotage by the people of Democratic Union Party, who have been always outside the Kurdish movement that support demonstrations. This sabotage by this party is getting frequent and this party is playing shabiha (regime’s armed thugs) role in the city of Qamishli.
This Friday didn’t passed without gunfire, especially in Lattakia, Homs, Daraa, some Damascus neighborhoods, and Harasta in Damascus suburbs. One demonstrator at least was shot dead.
