Syria: the number of martyrs in “God with us” Friday rose to be 14 martyrs, 7 in Arbeen, 3 in Dumair, one martyr in Mouadamyeh - Damascus Suburbs, two martyrs in Homs and one martyr in Daraa

God is with us, even if no one is supporting us

The majority chose this name after demonstrators got disappointed with their fellow Syrians who are still silent about all the massacres that have been committed, and the friendly nations that did not make a clear stand -even the free ones whose revolutions ignited the revolution in Syria-, and the international committee that has shyly sided with them without taking a clear and strong stance that would prevent the Syrian regime from committing more crimes and de-legitimize it.

Despite the high heat and the hardship caused by fasting -for those who do-, thousands have marched the streets in all the cities of the country chanting for toppling the regime, facing assault, bombs and live bullets that have taken at least 9 lives in Erbeen (which is adjacent to Damascus) , Dumair and Mouadamyeh in Damascus Suburbs, Homs and its cities: Talbiseh and Rastan.

Meanwhile, Hama stays unreachable due to the jamming of frequencies of satellite phones. Electricity, water, food and medicine remain being cut off from the citiy. The shelling continues, as do the random gunfire and the sniping. It’s are regular war being waged against defenseless people as survivors that could escape from the city are informing us. Some were told by members of the security forces at checkpoints “Goodbye, you will never see this city again”.

The largest demonstrations took place in Deir Ezzor which defied the blockade and the presence of security forces, while Homs is divided by security barriers, and, like Latakia, Homs witnessed gunfire. Same counts for Idlib, Kissweh, Homs, as well as Damascus Suburbs, like Erbeen, in which the gunfire caused dozens to be killed or injured. Douma, Harasta, Tal, Mouadamyeh, Saqba, Daraya, and also the capital Damascus suffered from massive presence of security forces. The revolting Damascus neighborhoods of Midan and Qaboun and Kafar Souseh, saw clashes yesterday and a major escalation from both, the sides of the protesters and the security forces, which now includes Damascus to the cities with the biggest demonstrations. In the north eastern terretories (Syrian Jazeera), Qamishli and Amouda, and the cities of Deir Ezzor, Mayadeen and Bokamal, people are defying the summer heat common to those areas, as they do in the suburbs of Idlib, which were subject to a brutal campaign a month ago and in which the security forces still surround the villages. Likewise they do in the suburbs of Aleppo, Tal Refaat and Azaz and Aleppo itself. In cities of besieged Daraa, for months demonstrations have been setting out trying to circumvent the security forces and patrols.
