In response to the city’s seige applied by criminal security forces and army
In response to cutting off means of communication (phone lines, internet)
In response to repressing protests including woman protests
In response to the regime and security forces ignoring the residents previous warning
Based on the above, we, the residents of the city of Douma announce a general strike on Saturday 18 June 2011
We call on all the brave cities in the suburbs of Damascus to join our strike in order for this initiative to become one for all the suburbs of Damascus
